Olmstead

Ashley Olmstead (Character Creation, Co-Dramaturg, Assistant Director)  holds an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in Theatre from SUNY SCCC.  They have been a member of the local theatre community for over a decade.  Ashley has worked on multiple productions throughout the capital region as performer, director, adaptor, and writer. In 2023 they started working with Trust Your Gut Productions in such productions as Love American Style, Blithe Spirit (Charles), and Antigone (Newscaster). Most recently they directed and adapted Trust Your Gut’s Production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which employed several Summer Academy students in featured roles.  They are honored to be working with the Summer Academy to help create original youth theatre.
