Education

Trust Your Gut Productions believes in on-going arts-based education for artists, creators, and audiences. We understand that arts training not only helps students to prepare for careers in the performing, literary, and visual arts, but that it also helps develop strong interpersonal skills such as public speaking, problem solving, critical thinking, and engenders a love of collaboration.

We offer on-going classes for all ages, as well as our tried-and-true Summer Academy. Be on the look-out for more educational opportunities!

The Summer Academy

Serving the Youth of Fulton County since 2021

FREE Open House Friday, May 2nd, 4.00pm
at The Gloversville Public Library’s Carnegie Room

A rich tradition of collaboration and growth

Fulton County’s original, tried & true 4 week-long conservatory-style program will see students training in acting, singing, dance, playwriting, music composition, voice and speech, scene study, technical theatre and more as they embark on a collective journey to create, produce, and perform their own, original, hour-long musical to be presented in Gloversville’s Myers Park with words, lyrics, & music by the Youth of Fulton County and Beyond!

This is not a simple adaptation of a theatrical work; it’s collaborative creation from the ground up with professional-level pedagogy that has served the youth arts community for over four years!
This pay-what-you-can program is led by regional creators, educators, and artists from Trust Your Gut Productions, whose collective 50+ years of experience in creation, education, and production will help your child reach for the stars, explore the joy of collaborative performing arts, make new friends, and create their own original piece from their hearts and minds!

Past Academy productions have included Kampfire Stories (ghost stories and urban legends), Bacchanalia ‘22 (world mythology),
Fairy Tales…Flipped! (world fairy tales and legends), and The Necklace (based upon the short story La Parure by Guy de Maupassant),
with book, music, lyrics, costumes, choreography, sets, design, and vision by the Youth of Fulton County, overseen by our inimitable staff of qualified and working educating artists!
