The Academy Students in their Share Day Production of Bacchanalia ‘22 (2022)
Trust Your Gut Productions’ Summer Academy has led the way for trusted, quality, and meaningful summer performing arts education in Fulton County since 2021. Its dedicated staff of performing, visual, and literary artists have no gaps in their careers, and have continued to create quality, eye-opening theatre, visual arts, songs, poetry, and more throughout their artistic lives.

We will do our best to make sure that there are healthy snacks and drinks available free of charge throughout the day, but please provide either a packed lunch or money for your child to purchase lunch during their break.
-
Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will be late or absent. Many of our in-class exercises are done in pairs or small groups, so we will want to know if another student’s scene or activity partner will be absent or late so as to be able to edit our lesson plan or find a substitute.
-
Absolutely! We always appreciate parental support during the week of the show, especially with regards to set construction, costume alterations, etc.
We will also gladly and appreciatively accept any donations such as food, water, and snacks for the kids, marketing assistance, pick-up/drop-off ride sharing, and more. However, we do ask that parents and guardians respect the autonomy of their children during training weeks. We find that students learn best, take more chances, and step more out of their comfort zone when left with their peers and our dedicated team of arts educators without other adult interference or observation.
-
Open Class Share Day is a free “performance” that we hold at the end of the first two training weeks of the Academy. It’s a chance for parents, guardians, friends, family, and community members to see what the kids have been working on!
You will see how your child warms up for each class type, experience some of their in-class exercises, get a teaser of what you’ll see in their original production, All That Glitters, learn more about the teachers’ pedagogy and get clarification on the techniques, skills, and vocabulary the students have learned, and even get to take part in a talk-back with the students about their journey up to that point!
The Summer Academy’s productions—past, present, and future—are created ENTIRELY by the Youth of Fulton County!
No licensed music, no pre-written stories or scripts!
100% from the hearts, minds, and souls of this spectacular and growing group of young artists!
