Trust Your Gut Productions’ original take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream transports the action of this timeless Shakespearean comedy to the forests of Appalachia, where faeries, Mechanicals, and humans cross paths in this story of love, life, laughter, and mischief. This abbreviated version clarifies some of the more difficult-to-understand sections of Shakespeare’s original text, and flip-flops the characters of Titania and Oberon for a more modern re-telling of this tale. With original music by Lillian Nevins, this semi-musical version of Midsummer is certain to please audiences of all ages and sensibilities!
